I have a BAR in a 338 win mag no muzzle break with engraving. Is this a grade 2 or did they put engraving on grade1s 1969,70 mfg date pretty nice wood.
Thanks in advance
My 69 is engraved and a grade ll, My buddies is not engraved and a grade I and same year or so. Will never sell it.
Congrats, I have a BAR II in 338 WM too, 70 grains of IMR-4350 under a 250 gr Partition has shot well in two of these rifles, both Grade II all Belgian, mine wears and old gloss 1-3/4-5 Burris in Conetrol bases and rings, like Dusty, I wont be selling mine either.
Grade II had engraving. Grade one did not have it.
I have two BARs in 338WM, 1969 and 1990.
The 1969 has checkered grip for front hand and rear hand, but no engraving anywhere on the metal.
I had a 7 mag, wish I would have kept it
I have a Belgium BAR new minus the box. From the mid 80's. Been sitting in the cabinet since I bought it in 87. Never had a round fired thru it. Was a Christmas present that is too pretty to hunt with. Chambered in 270.... Seems a waste to not hunt it but I have 3 other 270's so its probably there for the duration. Beautiful gun tho for sure.
