Better shape than mine and it's not going anywhere except with my oldest son.

Or one of my favorite members here on the Savage forum. He knows who he is.......

Sorry about price, as I haven't seen one for a while. I will take a stab at it though and say $1500-$1700?

Just for conversation, lotta junk here lately.

I paid lots more than that for the one I have. I also have a pre mil F in .358 that I paid more than that for. The market for lesser quality guns may be soft, but if I see something nice I'll dig deep for certain.

Here's my .358 EG the way in came. The Leupold Vari-X III 2.5-8X and case colored Leupold base and rings were a bonus .

358? Can't read it.. could be 308 or 243.

Very nice though! I've got one in 358, that one's nicer.

Bottom left hand corner of first picture. OR is it the top left hand corner of the second picture?

Aha! Got it.. 358.

Sqweeler,Did you buy it? Its in pretty nice shape, better then the one i hunt with, and i didn't think the price was bad either. If i didn't have one it would have been heading to N.H. Don

Made an offer Don,waiting for a reply. Had two EG's a while back with 3 F's but sold them. This one appear's to be pretty decent.

LBK is probably the best measure of market value for this, but I'd say $2000 would be an easy reach these days for one in such good shape.
Posted By: damnesia Re: Today's market? - 12/05/18
$2000? I'm not saying that's not a good price or what it's worth, but I think I'm missing something. Is that because of the scarceness of an EG chambered in .358?

Mine was $1560 delivered, FFL, and background check a couple three years ago. it's pretty good but with added sling studs. Pictured here with a mint 358 DL from 1962.

Does a 358 W savage 99 out perform a Marlin 336 in 35 Remington?

The 358 that sold on GunBroker was back on there today. I don’t know if sale fell through or what, so I bought it for 1500.00. It looks new, it’s a 99F made in 1956. I will post some pics when I get my hands on it.

Some sellers have the 'auto relist' turned on so a gun will recycle even when it is sold. Hope that is not the case here!
