I have tried several at several gun shows. Don't love them. Action seems slow to me and, being left-handed, I don't like the location of the release button.
I was at a gunshop where the manager/owner had one on his belt and used it to open up a package for me. I commented on never seeing one and he let me handle it. He really liked his.
Its an iconic knife for busk to build from and it will sell well.
As far as my impression... Watching the guy remove it from the sheath and the deploy it...
I would have been done cutting already with my spyderco delica.
I'm a big fan of automatics. A Pro-Tech Brend on my pocket as I type, not my favorite but a good knife. I prefer the Piranha P1 but have lost the two I had and expect another for Christmas. The P1 is a light weight, light duty knife that fits me very well. The aluminum construction doesn't lend itself to heavy use. I have yet to find an automatic that better fits my needs. https://www.bladehq.com/cat--Piranha-P1-Pocket--512
The first of my auto knives. Got the 110 with the nickle silver bolsters and the BOS S30V blade. Fugger is super sharp and I think will be for a good long while. Has not been bloodied on anything but me. Note to super sharp.
I carry it in the belt sheath from my first 110 purchased in '78. Mines fairly quick but don't consider it a defensive knife, I've got MicroTechs for that. Cant wait to use it on game.
I have owned one for a couple of years. It’s amazing how many times my left hand is busy and not available to help open a knife.
Vry true but I've got a whole bunch of knives that are easily deployed one handed that aren't auto's. The Benchmade Griptilian in my pocket being but one example.
