My son went out hunting this morning and retrieved picts from the trail cams. The first pict is from the neighbors trail cam across the road. The second pict is on our property. We had 3 picts of this deer on 3 different days with this being the best picture. All the pictures were in the middle of the night between10:50pm to 3:30am. Think it is a shooter? grin

You're right, spread doesn't even make it past the ears. He'll be better next year.

Shooter for most hunters! Doubt if he'd walk by many hunters. Nice tall tines.

I'm with Randy savage on this one!

I'd probably flop him if he walked by, he's mature and might not get any bigger, but he might. hard telling from a single snapshot with no history of the area or herd. beautiful buck!

Yeah that's a tough call, on your part!
He's a really nice Buck! Cool to see on the Trail Cam!
Is he only on Cam at night? Is he Nocturnal, like most Good Bucks?
If you do see him, under your Stand, and Pass, will Someone else get him,
Where he doesn't get to grow bigger next year? There's no Guarantees!
I like to work it out in my Mind a Head of time!
Years Ago, I hunted one Huge Monster for 3 yrs. straight!
The first two years, I had decent shots on him, just not good bow shots with branches in the Way,etc.................
The Last year, I was really getting to know this guy good, and I had 11 encounters with him,
and the last one was in the Rain, in a Swampy, low lying area that would mainly dry out until the heavy rains came in, and then,
although still manageable, would change the Area's hunting!
So I was on the Ground, rain running down my neck, sending a chill down my back, but the Adrenalin was keeping me Warm, as I'm in,
Full Draw, watching the Buck about 23 yards away, Broadside, and moving from my left to right, and then as he disappeared behind a large bush in
the Swamp, I was waiting for him to take one or two steps past the bush to the opening, exposing his front shoulder area, for shot placement, but it wasn't happening.
The next thing I know, Something grunted behind me, and yep that was him, and when I slowly turned, he took off Flagging me slightly with his Tail, as to say Adios Amigo!
He didn't Flag long as older Bucks don't like to Run from Danger, into Danger!
Into the Heavy Timber, where he roamed until that next Spring, and He got Hit by a Car!

What I'm Saying is Enjoy the Hunt, He's a nice Buck!
Good Luck!

Looking at those pics again, he might be a little wider than he appears, as the Camera angle is a little skewed!

In the Top pic his ears are a little flat, but wide, almost all the way out!

Nice Buck!

Just for the record, I would drop him.

Shooter 100 percent! I is a beaut!

I was joking when I asked if he was a shooter. The guy that hunts across the road is the most avid hunter in our area. He puts in more time scouting than any of the rest that I know of. He keeps in text contact with my son about what he is seeing and what not. This is the buck he has singled out to hunt this year. I don't know if he has seen it during the daytime yet. The only pictures I have seen have been captured at night. Pretty sure no one around here will be passing it up if the opportunity presents itself.
