Guy on local gun sight wanted to trade for a.556 I hade a Bushmaster with moe furniture. Sent some pics. We traded even. I got a 1950 336SC .35 with Williams peep sight gun is 85% with two boxes of ammo. Serial starts with a G 22xx. Bullseyes is a little yellow but for 70 years old not bad.
DO THAT TRADE ALL DAY LONG....good for you.
Yes, waffle top, forgot to put that in. when looking up serial # made 1950 G 22xx. I have a 30-30 waffle 1952. From what I have read I need the .32 win. in waffle top have one I just bought here a few weeks ago but not waffle top but I have one.
I sold this 1952 ADL a while back.
I must have bought the bigger brother.
Joes looks like an A. the SC will have the 20 inch barrel.
I did not check barrel length but on barrel 336SC .35rem.
I would make that trade in a heartbeat.
Yes just checked 20" barrel. Just cleaning gun's for now. At home for 30 more day's going have really clean gun's
Stay safe, Fred
You did well! I have a 1952 waffle top, unmolested, SC in .35 Rem. Has a Williams peep and a firesight front. One of my favortes.
Of all the guns I own my .35 Rem 336D (Davidsons limited run) is my favorite go to gun for deer. It is a Guide Gun in .35 Rem
Nice trade, on your part. I have a late 40’s or early 50’s 336 ADL in 32 Winchester special. It’s one of my favorite rifles. A beautiful rifle with an unmolested waffle top.

Those are nice 35 cal Marlins. When Davidson's offered those I couldn't scrape the funds to cobble onto one. I never run across them.
I'm kind of looking for a 35 Remington 336. Be Well, Rustyzipper.
Keeping the two I have but do come across one will let you know.
lLOL
At a show in Vegas last weekend I picked up what I thought was a 1950 336SC in 35 Rem, turned out to be a 336A. I was already smiling, but it got bigger, especially for $425 with a box of Hornady FTX ammo.

The only one I've seen recently was a JM marked pre safety standard 336, but it had badly mismatched wood and shop had $700 on it. I'll keep an eye peeled for them here in MO and let you know.
I picked up a SC in 35 Rem last November. 1951 gun that had been professionally drilled for scope mounts. I had to give $750. I stumbled into a 336ER in 356 Win two weeks later so the 35 Rem is an extra. Given the state of Marlin I am not sure if I should sell it even though I am not one for having a lot of extra guns
At Poulin auction this past wkend Marlins went nuts. 200% of high estimate was the norm.
The market is definitely stupid. The mismatched 336 I mentioned earlier has a higher asking price than the clean, well used 1955 straight grip SC I purchased late last fall.
