Anyone seen one yet?
May be later the 500 Linebaugh!!!!
Last word from the factory was that the 475/480 was dropped from consideration. The risk management dept. was apparently skeered the round was too hot for the action. If you want a 500, it would have to be a custom job. SW
Wild West Arms (?) in Alaska makes a .500 S&W on their own lever action. I have not seen one yet. They are not cheap!!! Wild West makes high quality customs. Too rich for me! Good luck.....
I wanted to order one in 475 but i was told by my dealer they stopped production i think it would be a nice rifle pistol combo i haven't found any on the auction sites either although i'm broke right now it's the time i would find one
I have handled the Rossi 454 and 480. They seem crudely finished and hence over-priced. I could see paying $300 for one, but not $500.

The 500 Linebaugh is a shortened 50 Alaskan, and hence there is only one action suitable for it, the Mdl 71.

I sure wish I could get a 480 lever as a companion to my revolver. I figure 400 gr @ 1500 fps should work ok <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
