still looking for a gunsmith familiar with the Savage 219
perfect world northern Colorado or southern Wyoming but at this stage ill ship it to whomever.
....and yes ive been told its pretty straight forward and any competent gunsmith "should" be able to work on it but I had it made worse by one person already.
Any constructive suggestions MUCH appreciated.

I see you’re already communicating with Garnett on savagesingleshots.com. That just might lead to something worthwhile, as others chime in.

Garnett doesn't live very far from Jimmy McCollough (McCollough Rifle co) in Valley Grand, Al. Jimmy used to be with Walker Arms in Selma and he is as good as I have seen. 334-875-6443 is his number.

This thread has started me to wondering if anyone makes replacement rifle barrels for Savage 219s. Doesn’t seem like it would be particularly difficult for a reasonably skilled machinist with a lathe, a mill, welding equipment and some enthusiasm.
