In 2013 I got 5 rifles:
1892 25/20 made in 1900
1895 30gov made in 1902
1892 38/40 made in 1904
1892 25/20 made in 1910
61 22LR made in 1948

Both the 1900 and 1902 had more than a pound of dirt inside. I weighed them before and after cleaning.

This is way up from 2012, where all I got was one rifle:

1. 1937 long tang model 71 deluxe
2. 1957 all original 270 fwt
3. 1959 .338 win mag "Alaskan"
4. 1963 std wt 30-06 in primo condition. Sold that to my buddy raybass
Model 12 12 ga. 1924
Model 54 30/06. 1935
Model 94 30 WCF (wartime production)
1. 1962 Model 70 in .264 Featherweight.
2. 1954 Model 70 in .220 Swift
3. 1939 Model 71 in .348 WCF

Those top three would make a badass combo, better start getting rid of the rest of your rifles.
I agree Ben. I just told my wife today that my 4 pre 64's will do everything I need: 270 fwt, 30-06 fwt, 338 win mag and 375 H&H.....I don't really need my other rifles, but they are fun anyways, especially that old model 71 laugh..It's just a hoot to shoot and carry. I was lucky enough to pack it around this year during elk season, and it was a real pleasure cool
My first one-a pre-64(1952) Model 70 in 270 caliber. Slapped a Leupold VX-3 3.5-10X on it and currently enjoying it. And, yes the scope has been reinstalled!

Last year we had a bunch of Japanese engraved guns come thru the shop. Most were all Model 12's. Some with pretty nice silver inlay.
Had one model 70.
Wow nice picks fellas, the one I got from bsa is a shooter too. The later models are pretty good also. Taking it for a walk tomorrow evening. wink

I got my first push feeds this year, a FW .257 and a Winlite .270. I'm impressed with both. I sold 3 this year: a 9.3x62 custom and pre 64s in 06 and 300 H&H. I also got my first 94- a first year of production 9422. I haven't shot it yet, it will be interesting to see how it compares with my 70s production 39A.
Mrfudd, you are going to enjoy that original Winchester M9422. Here I am shooting mine, right after I received it from my parents for HS Graduation in June 1973 (just a few weeks before leaving for BCT). I still shoot it occasionally, it is as tightly fitted as it was when new - very nicely built carbines.

Once in a lifetime will you ever find a 22 in an original Winchester that has a good bore. This one is it, a 22 long...

Not a single one for me. Can't seem to find a single one around here to even consider. Would like a 1892 but I don't think they were that common in this state back in the day they were being bought new.

Ever used gunbroker or gunauction? Can find most anything you'd like and most of the time at a better price than found locally. Just find a good dealer that doesn't mind doing transfers and doesn't charge an obscene fee. There is a large dealer here that overcharges on everything and tried to sell me on a $75 or 5% value of firearm whichever is higher transfer fee. I took my business elsewhere.
1951 Model 71 348
1949 Model 70 220 Swift
1954 Model 70 300 H&H
1954 Model 63 22
1953 Model 12 12 gauge Heavy Duck, deluxe wood, vent rib
1960 Model 12 12 gauge modified choke, field grade
1960 Model 12 20 gauge modified choke, field grade
The last two model 12's serial numbers are 128 apart, look like twins, 95%.
Also had a Model 12 20 gauge made in 1913, had been badly refinished, trading stock!
Nothing old school, but did get a NIB FN Model 70 coyote light 22-250. Nice rifle.
Well 2014 I picked up a new haven ss synthetic in a 7wsm
Let us know how it shoots. I got one as well and put it in a McMillan EDGE and PT&G bottom metal. I got some 150gr BTs loaded up to try in it tomorrow.
Just a Heavy Varmint 22-250 for me in 2013 but I have the itch bad right now.
Purchased
1892 45 Colt
1897 12 Gauge
1885 300 WSM

Sold
1885 260 Remington

1907 351 win sl
model 67
New FN M70 25-06 sporter
A model 12 and a model 94, both made in 1954. Neither would be special to anyone but me, but I wanted them because I was born that year.
I picked up a nice 1892 SRC in 32WCF, excellent condition. I sold a Winchester Garand then immediately regretted it! Fortunately, I was able to find another made in 1943 and jumped at the chance to buy it!
Early in the year I bartered with the local Cabela's Gun Library and grabbed a Stainless Classic in 300 Wby.

Mid-year I made it a point to order and receive a M70 Classic Fwt in 7x57 - the 2013 SHOT Show gun. Kinda goes hand -in-hand with the 2012 SHOW Show gun in .257 Roberts.
I picked up a couple of Model 94 Big Bores a 307 and a 356. Also picked up a trapper carbine in 45Long Colt.
