In 2013 I got 5 rifles: 1892 25/20 made in 1900 1895 30gov made in 1902 1892 38/40 made in 1904 1892 25/20 made in 1910 61 22LR made in 1948
Both the 1900 and 1902 had more than a pound of dirt inside. I weighed them before and after cleaning.
This is way up from 2012, where all I got was one rifle: M70 308 made in 1953

I agree Ben. I just told my wife today that my 4 pre 64's will do everything I need: 270 fwt, 30-06 fwt, 338 win mag and 375 H&H.....I don't really need my other rifles, but they are fun anyways, especially that old model 71 ..It's just a hoot to shoot and carry. I was lucky enough to pack it around this year during elk season, and it was a real pleasure

My first one-a pre-64(1952) Model 70 in 270 caliber. Slapped a Leupold VX-3 3.5-10X on it and currently enjoying it. And, yes the scope has been reinstalled!

1951 standard in 375 H&H with Japanese engraving
Last year we had a bunch of Japanese engraved guns come thru the shop. Most were all Model 12's. Some with pretty nice silver inlay. Had one model 70.

Wow nice picks fellas, the one I got from bsa is a shooter too. The later models are pretty good also. Taking it for a walk tomorrow evening.
JOC was right. The 270 Winchester on a Model 70 is a great combination as is the 30/06 and 375 H&H

I got my first push feeds this year, a FW .257 and a Winlite .270. I'm impressed with both. I sold 3 this year: a 9.3x62 custom and pre 64s in 06 and 300 H&H. I also got my first 94- a first year of production 9422. I haven't shot it yet, it will be interesting to see how it compares with my 70s production 39A.

Mrfudd, you are going to enjoy that original Winchester M9422. Here I am shooting mine, right after I received it from my parents for HS Graduation in June 1973 (just a few weeks before leaving for BCT). I still shoot it occasionally, it is as tightly fitted as it was when new - very nicely built carbines.

Two pre-64 M70 FWT's in 30-06 that I bought to restock with McMillan Compacts (could be talked out of one of the actions... ) A Miroku-built M52 Sporter 22lr. An FN-built M70 in 243 Win, which is waiting on a Timney trigger and is sitting in my wild blue McMillan 'swirl stock.
