Dad and I got out for a few hours Friday afternoon and for about 3 hours yesterday before th wind picked up.

Found a few crappies, caught most about 10-12' down. We didn't light them up but I think we had about a dozen each day. May end up with enough over the next few weeks to have a Christmas day fish fry.

Dipping standing hardwoods. 10-12' down, 40sh feet of water.

No white caps but once the wind picked up it became difficult to hold right on the trees and suspended fish. Was early afternoon anyway so we decided to call it quits before the rain moved in.

Still had to clean fish, put the boat under cover, clean out the camper and drive the 2 hours home, hopefully hit it for a couple of days next weekend.

When we get ice on the lake it will be done. Our ice rarely lasts more than a few weeks though.
