Nothing is available in that price range around here anymore, or from mail order houses either. That's four cents a shot. Maybe they will come back around to that pricing some day. You are lucky to find that in a store.

Before the rimfire insanity started, this type of Aguila ammo was about $24 a brick. Federal Lightning was in the high teens. The last Federal 525 count bulk packs of plated .38 grain HP plinking stuff I purchased were $39.95 (May or this year). I purchased a 325 count bulk pack of Remington Golden Bullet at WalMart last month for $24. It did not misfire but it's accuracy was marginal at best. A relayed the availability to a friend and he went out there later in the day, but it was all gone. I had fired 100 rounds, so I did the math and sold him the other 225 rounds at my cost. He wanted this to shoot in his Colt Ace. He needs plated high velocity ammo to function in the floating chambered old Colt.
