The only time Texas feels like the South, is when you get over in the eastern part with all the pine trees. Then it feels like the south.

I grew up in north central Texas, we never did identify with the rebel flag. We viewed it as the losing sides flag. We all had pride in the Texas flag. Maybe thats what a mandatory year of Texas History does to you.

Do they still have a year of Texas History in school?
