Modern .45 Colt brass is as strong as any, actually thicker than .44 mag.
Pearce used Starline, which is excellent stuff.

Data for .45 Colt Ruger Blackhawks and Contenders usually goes to 30k or so.

The weak brass story dates back to balloon-head cases, not made in decades.
