In the world of "fwt's", theres only 1 that I'd pick. However, the OP just doesn't get the fact that they made many "fwt's". The ones made from '55-63 are my favorites...I am like Pal and can live with a nice rifle with a recoil pad installed. Hell, sometimes it makes them better. Like with his 30-06 for example. I'm sure it's much more pleasant to shoot than my aluminum butt plate 30-06. To the OP, this is a pretty vague question. This is my vague answer to it... whistle
