When it comes to resale, both rifles would probably bring about the same, but a pre-64 with an uncut stock, and its original buttplate, beautifully refinished, will always sell much more quickly than one with a cut stock and recoil pad. Plus, if that pad doesn't look brand spanking new, then the price will be dragged down further. Mannyrock
