So the six antelope we got in WY this year were on BFE sage and typically lean & mean.

The seventh was a Utah depredation tag and her feet probably never touched anything but alfalfa. (This guy's got 8,000 acres of alfalfa pivots and 12,000 acres of pasture. I like to apply for these tags to scope out falconry access more than anything -- and it worked! We spent about 3.5 minutes shooting an antelope and about 2 hours having him show me where all the hawks hang out grin )

at any rate, I've shot well over a hundred game animals now and have never seen anything even close to this degree of marbling in a "wild" animal
