First was pack in. 14 mountain house meals, plus other food, plus Ed T medium stove and golite SL4. It was gonna be nasty and we got 18 inches of snow that night some we had all the snivel gear to include zero degree bags. The food is bulky but doesn't weigh too much.

Last two are pack outs after putting elk down. So all the extra chit adds up.

It's not bad if you squat heavy and deep 3 times a week and do cardio 3 times per week.

It's just a big load if you staying 7 or 8 days and trying to stay in relative comfort. I did that travel light / freeze at night in the army. I'm 49 and like a full nights sleep now, plus a full belly.
