I don't have a "go-to knife". I have favorites but change out knives depending on where I hunt - small knife if I'm hiking far and big knife(s) if not so much travel. And, of course, I always have an EDC on me which on these two bucks was a John Lloyd folder.

Yesterday I went with a knife my Dad gave me when I was about 7. This one made it to the truck whole.

My Wyoming hunt had me walking in order to get away from all the road hunters. For this buck I used a MRK blade. Boned this one out and carried out way to far.
