If I was close enough, I'd offer to trade my Encore for your G2 - I'd even offer some boot if necessary.
In an Encore I'd recommend a .270, .280, or 7mm-08 if not an '06.
But in a G2, aren't you going to me limted to a .30-30, .308Marlin, .45-70 ..... for [western] rounds?
