I had a 7rm barrel for a short while. Buddy wanted it more than I did.

Recoil wasn't bad. I'd say no more than my rem700 7rm.

My .35 whelen has a fluted ported ( from the factory, only seen 2 like it l) and it's a pleasure to shoot. Just loud as all get out.
