I had a .223 and .308 in 788. The .308 was left-handed. They both shot well. Like a dummy I got rid of them. The only problem with a 788 is that parts are REAL hard to come by, now.

It is too bad that there is such a lack of rifles in 6mm. I have an old model 700 that is a tack driver and has killed over 100 white-tailed deer.

That is not a bad price on that rifle from what I have seen around.
