Been looking to buy a replacement for my '09 Ram 1500 for something with more guts and tow capacity for my travel trailer, preferably diesel and 250-2500 class truck.

Toured the local Ford dealer, looking at F-250 diesels, and started drilling down into specs. Guess what- the only fuel tank available in the 250 line is 26 gallons! If you want more tank capacity, you need to go to the 3500's. Are you kidding me? When I quizzed the sales folks about it, they were quick to offer aftermarket tanks to solve the problem. That's just what I want, a tank in the cargo box area to reduce my ability to haul stuff.

Bottom line- I will probably end up with a GMC and Duramax, with its 36 gallon tank. I really like Ford's trucks, but what design genius came up with the 26 gallon tank idea? Really?
