I enjoy reading 2nd Amendment articles, and this paper by Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit is a good one covering recent court cases and the expansion of 2A to things like stun guns (though he doesn't go into knives).
In a nutshell: Momentum is mostly on our side, if we can just keep or enhance the originalist leanings of the Supreme Court.

Then either hillary or sanders will get to appoint a few justices to the SCOTUS and then they will overturn Heller and McDonald and proclaim there is no individual right to own a firearm and any ban they want to enact is Constitutional.
