It may be slightly heavy a caliber for a 6 year old, but when he gets older, short of wanting to shoot an elephant or cape buffalo, he can hunt pretty much everything. The M70 is also a nice basis if he decides he wants to customize it. If you died tomorrow, what would you have done today ...
