Sharpsguy is right. From my experience hunting with iron sights, the open sight is a better hunting sight. I will go one better and say that the wide V and bead is better than the buckhorn and blade for me, or I also prefer just a flat bar and a bead where my hunting is and the ranges at less than 200 metres.

But a V or buckhorn rear and a front blade will work better for longer range shots if you hunt in open country all the time.

I have come to the conclusion that aperture sights are better for target shooting.
