Thirdly, we had the exterior walls filled with non-expanding water-based foam. Outside sound was cut by at least half, and the inside walls stay cool to the touch all day - and night.
We did that last year too. Amazing how much quieter the house is as well as power bills summer and winter running 25% less.
Went on a 2 hour hike this am. 79 when I started at 0630 and 89 when I finished as a sloppy wet mess. Can't wait until fall.
