If you think 594 does anything at all to stop criminals from obtaining firearms, then you truly are an idiot. Per ATF and FBI stats, the VAST majority of firearms obtained by persons barred from possession (I.e., illegal aliens and felons) are stolen. 594 does nothing to address those problems and only burdens the law-abiding while further infringing upon the 2A.
