Barrel. And, go light on optics, sights if you can. That Tromix is just under 7 lbs.
How come AR scopes are all mounted so high?
The barrel is in a straight line with the buttstock, unlike a conventional stock that has drop at the heel. With conventional rings/mounts, the scope is actually too low to get a typical cheekweld.
