I reloaded some 160 FTX for my 1975 336 with microgroove barrel. They have been very accurate. Don't know how they behave on a deer.

That's what I got, a '75 336 Texan. With the hand loads I get about a 1.5" group at 100yds, which is the best groups I've ever got from the rifle.
Dead is dead, so I cant tell you if it's any better than RN or FN bullets. So far, no deer or hogs have gotten out alive. Besides, I like reloading!
