I know it has been confirmed that the shooter was born in Turkey and migrated to the U.S. but I have yet to see any confirmation that he is in fact a Muslim.
Wife's dad, a protestant minister, spent some time in Turkey with the Red Cross back in the late '60s. He said although most Turks were Muslims there also were a fair number of Christian Turks back then.
