I'd say a monarch in 3-12 or a VX 2 or better. Stay away from entry level vortex. Keep an eye out on the fire classifieds. Some steals once in a while. Skip the bdc and learn to use the turret or some leupolds comes with CDS
All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.
