we dated about 6 months, I proposed to her with the idea we'd get married a year later once our lives settled down
found out she was pregnant the next day.
kinda took the shine off the proposal the night before.
married 1 month later.
got married by a preacher who wanted to do all this pre-marriage counseling horseshit with us. About 10 minutes into the conversation I realized where he was going, told him ...look man, she's gonna have a baby, its past time whether we're compatible or not in the eyes of the church.
He just shut his book and asked me when we planned on having the ceremony.
its all good though. Been married 19 happy years. And the math is easy. All I do is add 1 year to however old my boy is.
