a new 1 acre lawn area.....garden..etc...gonna do my research

before I plunk down $1500.......for sure

just match the width/PTO HP up to the tiller

I have the 6' rotary tiller from TSC. I use my 45hp tractor with it.

It's a beast! grin

I put in a few food plots for clients and myself each year, and it does an outstanding job.

here's one of the bigger plots.

This one was dry this year with black gumbo type soil that was extremely hard. The tiller never hiccuped.

Knock the growth down with Glyphosate before tilling, and you'll have better results.

Make sure the minimum HP for the tiller doesn't exceed your PTO HP rating of your tractor. You won't like it, if it does.

Another thing to consider is the width of your tractor and the width of your tiller.

If your tractor width exceeds the width of the tiller, then you are leaving tracks outside the tilled path.

Wouldn't consider anything but a gear driven tiller. There are chain driven tillers out there. Gears are better. smile
