I think you will make it easy. My 7MM-08 with the non-fluted 2b sits in a Classic Edge, Talley Lwt rings and a not fancy Leupold 3x9x40 scope and weighs 7 lbs 5 ozs. So adding a few ozs for the bigger contour barrel should get you under your target weight of 8 lbs if not going with a heavier scope. Should be a nice rig!!
