My 3X Post and Crosshair Weaver has two aiming points and works pretty well with practice. The BC of the 308 Marlin FTX is .395 and started at a sedate 2500fps it drops 8 inches at 300yards when sighted 3 inches high at 100. Should make 300 yard shots possible.
