There may not be a perfect solution, but there never is. We just need to get something started and build on it from there. First step would be to return it to the states, where it belongs. The federal government must not expand past government until they get that right. That should keep them where they need to be for at least 1,000 years.

Every employer I have ever worked for had health insurance that covered pre-existing conditions. Also every one was much cheaper than zero care with much better benefits.

The issue for some monstrosity like zerocare is, those with pre-existing conditions just coming to it, because it's free, often have massive issues with their preexisting conditions as they have never treated their malady appropriately and consistently for years, and now they want the unfixable fixed.
