We can only hope. I hope that if it happens, the Republicans in the Senate don't dick around trying to look "fair".
That seems to be, and seems to have been, most of their MO for the past two decades. I can even see President Trump throwing a bone to the left by way of a middle-of-the-road to left-leaning appointment if he gets the opportunity for multiple appointments in an attempt to look fair, pacify the left and work the "art of the deal". I hope I'm wrong.
