With high country snow melt, we'll be running bank full and off color for about another month. Lakes and ponds are fishing well though.
Went down to the river yesterday just to see. Blown out so bad I'm thinking mid June before it's even worth it.
The only downside to you folks with real mountains is that spring run off. Back in the day when I used to go to Airwing Fallon when our squadron mates headed to the bars in Tahoe my roommate and I headed to the small streams in the Sierras and it was always a crap-shoot prior to July.
