Tekni has it right. The VZ is full length and the 24/47 is intermediate. The intermediates are about 1/8 inch too short to handle an 06 length cartridge. I'm just finishing a 24/47 switch to a 240 Weatherby. At $100.00 for the original action, 250.00 for the barrel, blueing, bolt bending and safety switch, 285.00 for a georgous stock, 170.00 for a trigger, 400.00 for a scope, and likely 40 hours of my time on the stock, I'd likely be ahead to just buy the Weatherby. Sure is fun though, and I'm going to do it again on a Swed Mauser. 1Minute
