I agree buddy. I will likely do like you did, and throw the fwt in a micky and call it a day. Will have to patiently wait for the right one to come along though. Until then, I will throw a red pachmayr on the cut stock and use it as is.. The STD will stay as is. I'm really liking that one. I knew it was going to be a good shooter, as the rifling is pristine. But, it's surprising me, as to how well it's actually shooting. The rifle doesn't appear to have been fired much in its lifetime. It's 70 years old this year too!!! It's in incredible condition for its age.. The custom stock is growing on me too. Ha ha..
