Yep--and a large part of the reason is the same as it's always been: "Cup-and-core" bullets work more reliably when muzzle velocity is moderate.

The difference these days is that you can start higher-BC bullets like the ELD-X at moderate velocities, and they'll also work well farther out, due to more retained velocity.
