Nah, not "envy" or anything like that.

There are two 7-08 EWs on Guns.com. The first is an older one that is described as having a 21.5 inch barrel, but I clarified with the sales person that is actually mis-described: it's 22 inches. The second, a newer one with the webbed B&C stock, is described as having a 22 inch barrel. So aside from the stock design they are both the same. However, upon enlarging the pictures it looks like the flutes on the older one are longer since there appears to be less unfluted steel towards the muzzle. It could be a slight change in camera angle, but it caused me to wonder if the barrel had been shortened - but again, it is confirmed at 22 inches in spite of the description - or if the factory changed the flute length over time. That's what's behind my question.
