Not really sure who makes what. If general consensus is correct, the "18" on the Sako headstamp would mark it as made in that year. So, as brass goes, it is still fairly recent manufacture. I would guess that about half of the mixed lot of Sako had had their loads pulled, as they were unfired yet sized for seating. The measurements, or differences thereof, between the "old" and "new" in the lot were not unalike, about what you'd expect from a bulk bag purchase. The Lapua were pretty well on the mark between them all. Slight (less than .001") at any point, except length, and that was remedied right quick. After all was said and done, I think the conclusion will lean towards the angle in the groove and its accompanying length. Thanks for all the good input and steering me in the right direction.
