Still not a $2k rifle. 100s don't bring the kind of money an 88 would, even in 284. Basket weave checking is a dead giveaway for a post 64 so at least the pre-64 bit is right.

JMO but I would not pay more than $11-1200 for that rifle. I just picked up a pre-64 100 in 308 in mint condition for $800. The 284 definitely adds value, but not that much and it's too hard to prove shot vs not.

Anyway, YMMV.
