While I've seen a few Pecar scopes up here, they're not exactly common, but I want to say I've read they were well made.
When I looked up your model, the only info I could really come up with as far as dates was this online discussion from 20 years ago.
https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/rifle-scope-pecar-german.21518/The interesting thing to me is that it says "Germany" and not "West Germany" so perhaps it was made in the communist controlled part? Not sure on that but few things are labeled "East Germany" somehow.
As to what to put it on, for sure some sort of Mauser or Kiplauf stalking rifle would be cool candidates.
We've all searched for the "right rifle" to go onto a unique scope or at least enough of us have that it wouldn't raise too many eyebrows around this 'Fire.
