Located a rifle today that I believe is a sporterized Swedish Mod. 38. None of the receiver markings are evident as they've been covered by scope mounts. The barrel is "steppd" and Mod. 38 is stamped on the receiver- but the bolt resembles that of a 98k - I know there were a lot of different mausers made through out the world. Kind of unfair not have a photo for you to ID. It looks to be a nice piece- good stock- timney trigger. Could the bolt be some type of after market modification?
