RIGHT ON, I had a 6TCU, aka 6x223 Improved on a 21" TC carbine thumbhole fajen stock, and requested a 12" twist, just would stabilize an 85 BTHP sierra gameking-a known deer killer.

A 10 twist would not be bad either, but the round lacks oomph to drive heavier vld type bullets i.e. 105-108s so an 8 twist is not useful IMHO.

For me, I'd go straight to a 6PPC or better yet, 6BR for more performance, which is what I shoot - the BR.
