Good advice on Jim Dubell above. I have three LaBounty rebores/rechambers (Rem 700 338-06 that was a 270 Win, J.P. Sauer pre-war Mauser 35 Whelen that was a 30-06 and 9.3x62 FN Mauser that was a 30-06) and all are as accurate as my custom barrelled rifles. Cliff wanted 1/10th of an inch aside at the muzzle minimum for his rebores. Not exactly sure how fluting fits into the requirement but I am sure Jim will tell you. I have a factory Ruger tang M77 in 35 Whelen that goes .560" at the muzzle.
