I am glad that they are on the campfire as well. They are awesome boots and I look forward to using them this fall.
They have a lot of bang for the buck.
Many people wonder why their system is more expensive. I have heard that Lathrop and Sons are a father/son podiatrist team that likes hunting and their system includes custom insoles that are fitted to your feet. Their prices are less than having to do this on your own.
I hope that more people realize that the Germans have this hiearchy of boot quality. 1) Hanwag, 2) Lowa, 3) Meindl.
