There was a black kid in Plantersville, AL (just north of Selma) whose name was pronounced 'Shuh-THEED' but was spelled 'Schithead' without the 'c'. I'm dead serious.
This is true. The kid ended up in Gwinnett Co. Ga. My buddy had him in class for summer school. He saw this name on the class role and thought someone had played a prank on him, so the first day he called role but skipped that one. After he finished, he asked if there was any name he didn't call, and a kid raised his hand.
"You ain't callt my name"
"What is your name"
"My name's She-Thade" but it was spelled as Mickey had it.
Unreal. That was more than 10 years ago.
